How did the project originate?
Jacques Rocher, sustainable development director for the Yves Rocher Group and president of the Yves Rocher Foundation-Institut de France, met Wangari Maathai, 2004 Nobel Peace Prize laureate, in Nairobi in March, 2007.
The seeds of the project were sown at this first meeting between these two environmentalists.
